VDMA supports solarpeq

Date: 12 May 2010

Enlarged Association Platform for Photovoltaic-Production Equipment organises Joint Booth in DüsseldorfVDMA Photovoltaic Equipment, the association platform recently extended within Germany's Engineering Federation VDMA, will be represented on a booth shared by German world market leaders in solar production equipment at the premiere of solarpeq from 28 September to 1 October 2010 in Düsseldorf, Germany.

On this joint booth various top-notch exhibitors will be displaying their products and solutions related to solar production engineering. These include renown players in the industry such as centrotherm photovoltaics, Schiller Automation, Reis Robotics, Robert Bürkle and Meier Solar Solutions.

"Our association platform is a true reflection of the entire value chain in PV manufacturing from individual components to complete turn-key lines. solarpeq with its clear focus on solar production therefore perfectly matches this orientation", explains Dr. Peter Fath, Chief Technology Officer of centrotherm photovoltaics and Chairman of VDMA Photovoltaic Equipment.

"We are pleased to note that VDMA, which has already partnered with Messe Düsseldorf for numerous international No. 1 trade fairs in the investment goods sector, now also supports solarpeq. We are confident that machinery and equipment producers will particularly benefit from the unique synergies generated by the concurrently held glasstec, the global No. 1 for the glass sector," says Hans Werner Reinhard, Executive Director at Messe Düsseldorf.

Every two years glasstec, the leading international trade fair for the glass sector, attracts approximately 55,000 trade visitors from 90 countries to Düsseldorf, including an especially high number of decision-makers. Almost a quarter of them already showed an explicit interest in the solar segment at the last glasstec in 2008. solarpeq is held concurrently with glasstec forming an integral part of the event. Furthermore, it will be enhanced by a high-level scientific PV conference entitled "Size Matters! - Producing Solar at Large Scale".

About solarpeq

solarpeq - international trade fair for solar production equipment will be held at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre for the first time from 28/09 to 1/10/2010. The event emerged from the very successful solar segment at glasstec, the world's undisputed leading trade fair for the glass industry, glass machinery and equipment construction as well as the glazier trade with some 1,300 participating firms. solarpeq is tailored to solar production engineering for crystalline and thin-film photovoltaics. Companies here include machinery, equipment, component and material manufacturers for solar end products. glasstec, for its part, continues to showcase modern applications in the solar segment such as building-integrated photovoltaics. Both trade fairs are held concurrently at directly adjacent locations and can be attended using the same admission ticket.
