Hannover Messe Ankiros Fuarcılık A.Ş., a joint venture of Messe Düsseldorf GmbH and Deutsche Messe AG, has appointed Ozan Hünler as its new General Manager.

As of 1 December 2025, Ozan Hünler has taken over as Managing Director of Hannover Messe Ankiros Fuarcılık A.Ş. With ANKIROS and ALUEXPO, the company organizes leading international trade fairs for the metallurgical, foundry, and aluminium industries.

With its entry into the joint venture at the beginning of 2024, Messe Düsseldorf opened up the Eurasian growth market to its customers and strengthened its own international competitive position. In addition, this step enabled the company to further expand its global leadership in trade fairs for the metallurgy and foundry industries. As the new General Manager, Ozan Hünler is now expected to further drive the joint venture’s growth.

Ozan Hünler is highly familiar with the conditions of the Eurasian market. Over the past five years, he was responsible for sales and marketing for the water-supply specialist Hawle Austria Group in Türkiye. Prior to that, he spent another five years as Sales Manager at AkzoNobel Automotive Coatings in Türkiye. He brings extensive experience from the chemical, automotive, and mechanical engineering industries.

Wolfram N. Diener, President & CEO of Messe Düsseldorf, commented: “Ozan Hünler knows what it takes to enable growth and expansion. He understands how to build strategic partnerships and drive entrepreneurial transformation. He is therefore exactly the right leader for advancing our agenda in this dynamically growing region.”

With Messe Düsseldorf’s entry, the company’s founder, Ibrahim Anil, stepped down as a shareholder of Hannover Messe Ankiros Fuarcılık A.Ş.; however, he will remain with the company as General Manager until the end of February 2026. Wolfram N. Diener stated: “We will do everything we can to continue the success story of Ibrahim Anil. He not only developed ANKIROS and ALUEXPO into leading trade fairs in their respective sectors, but together with his team, he created something truly remarkable: a company that is now among the most successful players in the metallurgical industry. We are deeply grateful for his dedication and his passion.”
