Successful start-up of a new float glass line in Russia

The state-of-the-art float manufacturing line will enable the creation of several hundred new qualified jobs and the development of the regional glass processing industry.This new float line will primarily address the south-Russian construction market which registered among the highest growth rates of the country before the financial crisis and which is poised to benefit from the on-going economic recovery in Russia.







YugRosProdukt is a specialized Russian jar and container producer, located in the Territory of Stavropol in the south of Russia. By leveraging on its glass production knowledge and under the bold vision of its management, YugRosProdukt has succeeded in becoming a new float glass producer.



The leading foreign contractor for the float line design and manufacturing equipment supply is Fives Stein.



Fives Stein is a specialized engineering group which has designed and supplied float glass manufacturing lines worldwide, for renowned glassmakers such as Euroglas and Sangalli Vetro in Europe, CSG or Fuyao Glass in China. For this new line, Fives Stein provided the engineering and delivered the glass manufacturing line: the furnace, tin bath, annealing lehr, air pollution control, cutting line and nitrogen/hydrogen generation systems.



Fives Stein is currently executing major contracts for new float glass lines in India, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Italy and China.
