Some days have passed already since glasstec 2014. The international trade fair glasstec has been an absolute must for futronic since many years and of course we did not want to miss it this year to meet our customers and business partners and to present some innovative ideas.

After our return from Rhein to Bodensee we were busy with the follow up processing of the fair, now it is time to wind down and look back. Our conclusion after four trade fair days and many interesting meetings and impressions: it has been worthwhile again for our team at the fair and for futronic.

This year like in the past we had a joint pavillon with proven partners, however with a new designed booth: "It was time to give a new concept to our fair presentation", managing director Michael Preuß says. The excitement on how this would be taken up by the customers has settled soon. We got a lot of recognition for the new design. Although our partner Forma Glass had an own booth we had an adequate coordination. At each booth the actual coproduction, the new Tableware Control System TCS was in the focus.

We can say that the inspection machine caught the attention of mainly decision makers of all big and smaller glass factories and table ware manufacturers. We were very glad to have such a variety of top-class, inspiring and constructive discussions at our or at the Forma Glass booth.

Also the Panel-PC for the FMT24S was very well received. After all this positive feedback at the fair the decision was made: "Very soon we will offer the new product as a supplement to the FMT24S Control System", Wolfgang Lachmann, Managing Director at futronic of Technology and Development, reports.

As well the extended diagnostic function, which completes the futronic delivery program as an Add-On for the FMT24S, and which will help in future to improve the product quality of our customers attracted great attention.

Altogether our team at the fair had the impression that less visitors came to the fair this year than the previous years. "However, we had particularly very positive meetings with decision makers," says sales engineer Marc Meersschaut. We got lots of inputs and ideas and could launch a lot of projects or take others to the next level. "This sounds very good", summarizes futronic chief Michael Preuß: "Our order books get filled and we are quite optimistic with regard to 2015 and 2016."
