Solutia Names Ray Kollar Vice President Of Commercial Services For Flexsys

Solutia Inc. (announced it has named Ray Kollar Vice President, Commercial Services for its Flexsys(r) business. In this role, Kollar has global leadership oversight for Flexsys' sales, marketing technical service and customer service functions.

Flexsys is the world's leading supplier of chemicals to the rubber industry, and its products play an important role in the manufacture of tires and other rubber products, such as belts, hoses, seals and footwear.

"Ray is a senior-level executive experienced in developing new ventures and re-energizing existing businesses," said Jim Voss, President of Solutia's Flexsys business. "I am confident he brings the expertise and drive that will create additional value for our customers and for Flexsys."



Kollar joins Solutia from Intel Corporation, where for the past 20 years he has served in various sales and marketing roles, including his most recent position of Director, Marketing Strategy and Market Development for Intel's $8 billion Business Computing Unit. Prior to joining Intel, Kollar spent 11 years in engineering and engineering management positions with McGraw Edison and later McDonnell Douglas.



Kollar has a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Akron and an M.B.A. degree from Washington University in St. Louis.
