EPIC Glass Tinting Awarded Contract to Retrofit Major L.A. Office Building

Date: 3 June 2014

When tenants refuse to renew their leases because of heat and glare problems, property owners and managers know they have a severe problem and must address it immediately.

This was the case when EPIC Glass Tinting got a call from an owner of a major commercial high-rise building covering 60,000 sq. ft. in Los  Angeles.Bob Kerr, president of EPIC, received a phone call from a frantic owner saying the heat and glare problems were costing him business, that tenants refused to renew leases, and asked if there was anything Kerr could do about it.  The owner prefers anonymity.

Kerr replied: "When the morning sun is so bright that employees in an office building have to wear sunglasses, yes, you've got a real problem, but one we can readily fix. Thanks to the advanced window film technology, we can address heat and glare through solar control film which also works as safety film during seismic activity. Add on this the energy savings and you've got a very happy client."
