Solutia Demonstrates Advanced Architectural and Automotive Glazing Technologies at China Glass 2012

SHANGHAI, April 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Solutia Inc. (NYSE: SOA) will feature a range of advanced Saflex® polyvinyl butyral (PVB) interlayers and XIR® reflective film products during the 2012 China Glass exposition held in Shanghai, ChinaApril 2-5, 2012.

The company will showcase acoustic damping and heat-reducing technologies for automotive and architectural laminated glass applications, as well as structural and advanced color interlayer solutions for the architectural market during the four-day event at the company's stand, located in Hall E1, booth 1-103.

Visitors will be able to participate in a solar heat reduction demonstration, showcasing the benefits of Saflex S series advanced solar absorbing interlayers and the company's newly acquired XIR reflective films. In addition, participants will be able to "hear the difference" Saflex Q series advanced acoustic interlayers make in architectural and automotive glazing applications, as well as mix and match their own custom colors with the Vanceva color system for laminated glass.

The company has made several investments over the past five years to increase manufacturing capacity and customer service levels to the growing region. In 2011, the company announced the planned expansion of a second manufacturing line at the Suzhou facility, which is currently being commissioned for start-up.
