In order to expand its presence in the North American assembled screen market and support the wish of its important customers to purchase finished screens rather than components, Saint-Gobain BayForm (Saint-Gobain Technical Fabrics) is making capital investments in new U.

S. production facilities to launch the Excellerator.This new automated technology has put Saint-Gobain BayForm in a position to become the low cost producer of assembled screens in North America.In addition to an improved cost position, the screen quality that is produced using this technology is superior to that of any other product currently on the market.

In January 2003, Saint-Gobain Bayform established a new location in Greensboro, North Carolina and also relocated its Pasco, Washington operations to the Seattle/Tacoma area. These new locations have been chosen due to their proximity to existing customers as well as to areas where significant market opportunities exist. A third location will be added in the 2nd quarter of 2003.
