October 26, 2009 (Albuquerque, NM) -- SCHOTT Solar, Inc. today announced the appointment of Tom Hecht as the company’s new Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

In his new role Mr. Hecht is responsible for developing the company’s photovoltaic (PV) and Concentrating Solar Power (CSP) business in the region.
 
“Tom brings a breadth of top-notch experience to SCHOTT Solar,” said Mark Finocchario, President and CEO of SCHOTT Solar, Inc. “He will work to ensure that SCHOTT Solar continues its longstanding commitment to providing the highest quality products and customer service, and will be integral to growing SCHOTT Solar’s customer base.”
 
Hecht joins SCHOTT Solar after working as Director of Business Development and Marketing at Miasole, a CIGS thin-film PV module manufacturer. Prior to that, Hecht held management positions in Corporate Development and Marketing in the telecommunications industry. Hecht was also a founding member of SolarTech, a Silicon Valley-based PV organization.
