Quanex Names Michael Hovan General Manager of Vinyl Products Division

Quanex Building Products Corp. named Michael B. Hovan general manager of Mikron, its vinyl profile products division, effective June 2.

Additionally, Hovan will continue to lead the company’s marketing efforts.  

“Mike is a seasoned leader with considerable experience in the building products sector. He understands our customers, operations and growth strategies,” says William C. Griffiths, chairman, president and CEO. “We are delighted to have Mike lead our vinyl business.”

Adds Hovan, “I am excited to assume the leadership role for Mikron. I have enjoyed working with the leadership team at Quanex since joining the company in 2011 and look forward to executing our growth strategy and serving our customers. My focus will be to strengthen our relationship with our customers, improve customer service and produce high-quality products.”

Since 2011, Hovan has served as senior vice president of sales and marketing, for Quanex’s Engineered Products businesses. Prior to joining Quanex, he served in various senior management positions for Lauren International Inc., from 1993-2011, including president of its Edgetech IG Inc. division from 2000-2011.
