Pro-Line Automation Systems Ltd. Introduces the Zipper MZ-730 Thermal Break Insertion Machine

Date: 3 September 2013

Pro- Line Automation has expanded their line of high tech polyamide strut insertion machines with the introduction of the MZ-730 “Zipper” Thermal Break Insertion Machine.

Designed for longer production runs the MZ-730 Zipper features the same PATENTED Automatic Compensating Knurling and Crimping system as the CNC Zipper to insure maximum shear strength.Unlike other systems that require multiple machines for knurling, insertion, and crimping, the Zipper combines all three processes into one machine – saving valuable floor space, labor costs, and time. Innovative preset tooling aligns the strut for insertion while virtually eliminating scrap from the set up process.

“Our customers came to us looking for a solution that was less complicated, occupied less floor space and required fewer operators than the current offerings from Europe. The Zipper does this and more, at a price that the competition can’t match. The fact that the machine is designed and built in North America is icing on the cake”, said Vinode Ramnauth, Vice President of Pro-Line Automation.

Current users of the Zipper have echoed Ramnauth’s comments. According to Martin Cash, CEO of Quest Window Systems, “our requirements for a flexible and fast thermal break insertion machine were met with the Zipper by Pro-Line. We compared the Zipper to European machinery and found that it required less space and employees, while achieving our production needs.”

Pro-Line’s Zipper will be featured at Glass Build America, September 10-12, 2013 in Atlanta Georgia. Make your plans to visit Pro-Line in Booth #2449.
