Polaris strengthens manufacturing with Lattimer

Date: 14 April 2014

The media firm run by brothers Ben and Sam Pinnington will be ramping up Lattimer’s profile by promoting its three bases in Southport and Birmingham, UK, and New Jersey, USA.

Polaris Director Sam Pinnington said the contract win was another strong indication of the firm’s intent to build its manufacturing, engineering and maritime client base throughout 2014.“We are thrilled to be working with another international manufacturer in the Lattimer Group,” he said. “The firm is the largest manufacturing business in Southport with a rich heritage in precision engineering. This is exactly the sort of business we want to be working with.

Like many of our engineering clients Lattimer is keen to raise its profile across national, international and regional press. The North West press is good for profile and attracting staff. The trade press meanwhile is vital for communicating with customers. Lattimer works extensively in the bottled glass manufacturing sector. It is therefore crucial we also communicate its benefits namely the quality and durability of its products as well as the terrific value it offers with its total commitment to customer service.”

Lattimer managing director Mark Hailwood said the firm is already feeling energised by the positive impact of the media campaign.

“We take great pride in the work we do at Lattimer,” he said. “We are a passionate, ambitious and energetic company making great products and achieving great things. We need to promote that properly in the media to our customers.

“We have a great deal of positive news, including overseas sales expansions, new training facilities, new divisions, machinery investments and new pioneering products. Polaris is helping us to harness the power of mass communication through the media. This in turn is helping us to maximise the impact of our positive news to drive greater profile, awareness and sales.”
