Oldcastle Glass(R) Acquires the Vistawall Group

Newscom.com reported that Oldcastle Glass(R) has acquired the Vistawall Group for a total consideration of US$190 million.

Vistawall is a leading vertically-integrated manufacturer of a broad range of architectural aluminum glazing systems, including storefronts systems, doors, curtain wall, operable windows, glass skylights, and translucent roof and wall systems.



With the purchase of Vistawall, Oldcastle Glass is now the largest manufacturer of architectural glass and aluminum glazing systems in North America. "The Vistawall acquisition provides scale and a national footprint with sales in all 50 states, and is the cornerstone of our growth strategy to be the market leader in engineered products used to close the building envelope," said Ted Hathaway, CEO, Oldcastle Glass.



Oldcastle Glass's current architectural aluminum glazing systems businesses, including Southwest Aluminum Systems in Chandler, Arizona; Fulton Windows in Toronto, Canada; Texas Wall Systems in Dallas, Texas; and National Retail Systems in Austin, Texas; will be integrated with Vistawall. "Our Engineered Products division, with annual sales of more than US$500 million, is positioned for growth from bolt-on acquisitions, investments in state-of-the-art equipment and new manufacturing locations," said Hathaway.
