N2H2, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: NTWO.OB - News), a global Internet content filtering company, today announced that PPG Industries (NYSE: PPG - News), a Fortune 500 company that supplies coatings, glass, fiberglass and chemicals, has purchased N2H2's Sentian filtering to manage employee access to the Internet.

"The accurate filtering database, easy-to-use interface, and overall functionality of N2H2's product has allowed us to spend less time managing our filtering system, while still protecting our computer systems from harmful or inappropriate Internet sites, allowing our employees to be more productive," said PPG Industries.

N2H2's highly accurate database has been rated industry-best by two independent studies. Both a study by eTesting Labs for the Department of Justice and a peer-reviewed study conducted by the Kaiser Family Foundation and published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) found N2H2 superior to competitors at blocking pornographic Internet content.

N2H2's simple-yet-powerful administrative interface allows large networks like PPG to efficiently manage Internet access throughout multiple locations. N2H2's enhanced filter functionality lets administrators choose to block and allow access to specific categories or sites, monitor access, or even warn and monitor users without blocking content (a.k.a. "Soft Block") -- all with one filter. N2H2's convenient Authorized Override feature enables authorized users to temporarily turn off and restore filtering for a specified period of time, which can significantly reduce disruptions to network administrators.

"With this agreement, PPG, like other large N2H2 enterprise customers, recognizes the value of N2H2's best-of-breed approach to web content filtering," said Philip Welt, president and CEO of N2H2. "We continue to gain enterprise market share as we offer the solutions that enterprise customers want, including our new Delegated Administration feature."

Delegated Administration allows IT managers and network administrators to decide who has the authority to oversee Internet use by delineating groups of users and assigning administrators across the enterprise. This feature is designed to lighten the administrative load for the central administrator while giving local administrators delegated control over defining filters, assigning filters to IP ranges and assigning filtering override privileges in a timely manner.
