MILLVILLE - No one was injured in a glass machine fire at Gerresheimer Glass on Wheaton Avenue that interrupted Thanksgiving dinner Thursday afternoon.

The fire was contained to the glass machine, which employees at the factory tried to put out and control before firefighters arrived, according to firefighter Steve Alcorn of Millville Fire Department.



"We could see the black smoke from (the station)," Alcorn said, noting that the firefighters and their families were just getting ready for Thanksgiving dinner when the call came in at 1:51 p.m.
