Hurd Windows consolidating production in Wisconsin

MEDFORD, WIS. (Jan. 6, 12 p.m. ET) -- Hurd Windows and Doors Inc. is consolidating production for its vinyl manufacturing unit Superseal Windows and Doors in Merrill, Wis., and turning the existing Superseal facility in New Jersey into a distribution space.

Hurd, based in Medford, Wis., purchased residential vinyl window and door maker Superseal of South Plainfield, N.J., in January 2011. In July, it announced it was opening a second plant in Merrill – within its existing manufacturing footprint there – for production of Superseal products. Hurd also has glass and wood production lines in Merrill.
