Houchan Shoeibi elected new chairman of Glass for Europe

At its last General Assembly, Glass for Europe elected Houchan Shoeibi as Chairman of the Board of Directors, following the rotating presidency tradition.

Mr Shoeibi is CEO of Saint-Gobain Glass, the flat glass division of Saint-Gobain, and has a long experience of the flat glass industry since he first joined Saint-Gobain in 1994. Mr Shoeibi takes over the position of Glass for Europe Chairman from Mr Jean-François Heris, President and CEO of AGC-Glass Europe. Mr Heris was warmly thanked for the many reforms implemented during his Chairmanship.



During this General Assembly, Mr Reha Ackcakaya, Director of Automotive Glass at Sisecam Trakya Cam, was elected Vice-Chairman of the Board. The Board of Directors is also composed of Mr Philip Ramsey, Vice-President Technology of NSG, and of Jean-François Heris, CEO and President of AGC Glass for Europe.



These mandates within Glass for Europe's Board of Directors will run until March 2014.
