GlassBuild Exceeds Exhibit Sales from Prior Years

Date: 4 April 2014

To date, exhibit sales for GlassBuild America 2014 are trending ahead of 2012 and 2013 in both total net square feet occupied and number of exhibiting companies.

Over 65% of the exhibit floor has been sold as well as 65% of the Innovative Product Pavilion, which features both first-time exhibitors and companies launching new products to the glass, window and/or door industries. This trend toward increased exhibit sales indicates that confidence among decision makers in the industry continues to grow.

“Sales are steady and we are thrilled with the progress thus far. First quarter signs are pointing to a busy and productive show in September. New trends and new show floor attractions bring a new excitement to GlassBuild America 2014,” commented Denise Sheehan, Vice President of Industry Events for National Glass Association.

Good news is sweeping the industry with construction hiring up (Associated General Contractors of America Report 2014), and Reed Construction Data forecasting an 8.8% growth rate for 2014 with 11% for 2015 (Reed, March 2014). Construction Backlog Indicator (CBI) recently hit a post-recession high. These numbers show an industry on the rebound and are an encouraging sign that attendance should climb closer to pre-recession highs.

GlassBuild America 2014 takes place at the Las Vegas Convention Center September 9-11, 2014. For more information about becoming an exhibitor or attending this 3-day event, please visit www.GlassBuildAmerica.com.
