The Planai at the heart of Schladming is the main location for the Alpine Ski WC 2013. The Valley Station building Planet Planai really stands out with its unusual architecture.

The hugely dimensioned foyer of the cable car hall has been enveloped in 1,500 m² of Solar and Thermal insulating glass from the processing specialists at ECKELT GLAS.Glass architecture pure is guaranteed by using the trusted System VARIO with its all-glass appearance.    

As an additional highlight, the newly constructed media-center - Congress Schladming - is definitely a landmark which with ts open structure provides the national and international press with the best spot for news coverage and reporting on the Championships. Exciting space plans with surprising views out on to the alpine panorama give the media center its special atmosphere. The media center is glazed with 700 m² of double- and triple-glazed units with „easy-to-clean“ coating BIOCLEAN [>].

The new Landmark of the ski-city of Schladming is most definitely the 35 meter high „Tor der Sieger“ (Winners Arch) at the finish line of the Planai. The  Skygate optically mimics a giant ski tip and everyone who comes down the finishing slope rides through this arch.
