Glass Apps Appoints William Ostrander as Chief Technology Officer

Ostrander brings more than 25 years of Smart Glass R&D innovation and industry experience to Glass Apps leadership team - Glass Apps, the leader in Switchable Glass and Film, which changes from clear and opaque states on demand, today announced the appointment of William Ostrander to the role of chief technology officer.  Ostrander most recently served as vice president and general manager at Citala US.  Ostrander brings extensive experience with manufacturing Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal (PDLC) switchable films, including working for the originator of the technology, Taliq Corp.  Ostrander will report to Thomas Lee, Glass Apps chief executive officer and will focus on customer needs and product quality. “As we continue to expand our business, both domestic and international, we depend on technology leaders, such as Bill Ostrander, to deliver a focus on PDLC film innovation combined with a proven track record of delivering high-quality products,” said Thomas Lee, Glass Apps CEO.  “I am pleased and excited to have Bill serve as Glass Apps’ CTO where he will lead innovative product development, fabrication and provide leadership across our R&D community for years to come.” Ostrander holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering as well as a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan. ABOUT GLASS APPSGlass Apps is the leading provider of switchable glass and liquid crystal based films.
