Gemco Furnaces b.v. of Eindhoven, The Netherlands has acquired the Stein Atkinson Stordy (SAS) Glass business unit. The acquisition was completed on Monday February 4th 2003.

The merger brings together two major players in the Glass and Display Products industries.

The new group will continue to service the needs of this market through its group company locations in The Netherlands, UK, USA and China. The sale involved the transfer of a number of active contracts, these will be
completed in a seamless fashion by the existing UK team.

Future business will be serviced from our two engineering centres in Eindhoven, The Netherlands and Wombourne, U.K with the support of our International sales and marketing network. Building on the innovative strengths and technical achievements of the two companies, the new group will continue its commitment to developing new products, services and technologies for the glass and display industries.
