Glazing contractors in British Columbia are invited to participate in a strategy and networking event on June 16, sponsored by the Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance FENBC Region.

This in-person event is focused on the needs of glazing contractors and will specifically identify solutions related to contract challenges and hiring needs.

“This event is entirely dedicated to your needs as a glazing contractor. Our goal is to establish a strategy for capitalizing on the many skills and services available through the FGIA FENBC Region to solve challenges and meet the needs of glazing contractors in BC,” said Janice Yglesias, FGIA Executive Director. “Join us in Surrey for this first-time gathering and connect with those in your field who share your goals and concerns.”

During this afternoon meeting (1-4 p.m. Pacific), construction lawyer, Vanessa Werden (Jenkins Marzban Logan), will share insights on handling price escalation and other construction contract challenges. FGIA Executive Director, Janice Yglesias, will host a discussion forum on the critical topics affecting glazing contractors’ business, including hiring and apprentice training needs and how the FENBC Region can best serve glazing contractors. Finally, professionals will have the opportunity to connect with each other during the networking reception.

Registration

The fee to register for this event is $35 CAD, plus 5 percent GST. Email the registration form to Meetings@FGIAonline.org. The event will be hosted at the Holiday Inn & Suites Surrey East in Surrey, BC.
