The exhibition duo of fensterbau/frontale and HOLZ-HANDWERK, which takes place in the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg every two years, will be the key forum for windows, doors, facades and the wood crafts once again from 24–27 March 2010.

A surprisingly large demand for display spaces even during the crisis-stricken year 2009 casts hope on 2010 and promises a double highlight again.

The two exhibitions, fensterbau/frontale and HOLZ-HANDWERK, have taken place in Nürnberg at the same time since 1992. Altogether some 63,000 visitors attended the two events at that time. The magic mark of 100,000 visitors was just beaten for the first time at the 2006 event. The exhibition duo grew again in 2008 with altogether 102,881 trade visitors and 1,276 exhibitors from 34 countries. HOLZ-HANDWERK with its focus on Central Europe and fensterbau/frontale as world-leading exhibition in its sector both profited from Nürnberg’s location in the south of Germany with its strong craft trade sector and the good international accessibility of the Franconian metropolis.

The results were also convincing in 2008: nine out of ten companies said they had made new business connections, four out of ten exhibitors at fensterbau/frontale and as many as six out of ten at HOLZ-HANDWERK made direct sales during the exhibition – and practically all of them succeeded in reaching their major target groups by exhibiting in Nürnberg.

The coming edition of the exhibition duo promises to be another great success: despite the crisis mood in many sectors of the economy, there is a surprisingly big demand for display space at both exhibitions. For the visitors who come to Nürnberg in March 2010, this means another comprehensive event with many new products and innovations.

Full information and links to the online service ASK with the exhibitors’ product presentations before, during and after the exhibition are always available at www.frontale.de and www.holz-handwerk.de. All exhibitors and their products are recorded and updated daily and can be searched, filtered and recommended. But ASK is more than just a database: it can also be used for actively planning a visit to the exhibition in advance, e.g. with meetings arranged online or the newsletter tailored to your personal interests.

A separate item on the website is naturally devoted to travel and accommodation. With its central location in Europe, international airport and large range of hotels, Nürnberg also offers good conditions for a pleasant visit in this respect.

Many new products and the latest information

The high degree of satisfaction with the products on display and the opportunities for obtaining information at the two exhibitions, which was confirmed by well over 90 per cent of the visitors, stems from the large share of new products and innovations to be seen every two years in Nürnberg: eight out of ten exhibitors take a new or improved product with them to Nürnberg. So visitors can look forward to a real fireworks of promising products and services.

Live demonstrations at the action forum vector organized by VDMA and the ProWood Trust at HOLZ-HANDWERK show new products in practical applications. Additional information and inspiration are offered by the special show on the stand of the Fachverband Schreinerhandwerk Bayern (Bavarian Carpentry Association) in hall 12.0 and by the exhibitors at “Dreams of Wood” in the foyer of hall 12. A powerful combination

Not only organizing the two exhibitions at the same place and time makes fensterbau/frontale and HOLZ-HANDWERK a big attraction for visitors, but also the professional networking in each sector. HOLZ-HANDWERK is organized by the Fachverband Holzbearbeitungsmaschinen im VDMA (German Woodworking Machinery Association) and NürnbergMesse GmbH. The co-sponsors of HOLZ-HANDWERK are the two associations, Fachverband Schreinerhandwerk Bayern (FSH Bayern) and the Fachverband des Maschinen- und Werkzeug-Großhandels e.V. (FDM). The organizer of fensterbau/frontale is NürnbergMesse GmbH and the honorary sponsors are the Fachverband Glas Fenster Fassade Baden-Württemberg, the Landesinnungsverband des Glaserhandwerks Rheinland-Pfalz and the Landesinnungsverband des Bayerischen Glaserhandwerks. fensterbau/frontale is also a founding member of the Global Fair Alliance of world-leading window exhibitions and is involved with ift Rosenheim in the International Strategic Partnership Fenestration.
