The year 2006 was a good one for Emhart Glass. We were successful in gaining new customers, and we achieved a record turnover.

The further growth in sales of our flagship NIS machine, which proved its attractiveness through repeat orders, is especially encouraging. Finally, we introduced successful, new products. One, the FlexPusher, was warmly received by initial customers.

Our customers and their needs are, and will remain, the focus of our attention, as reflected in our revised mission statement:

”We support our customers in their quest for sustainable profitability, quality and increased market share in the packaging industry through automation solutions.”

Among other recently-introduced organizational measures, our new functional units Technical Services and Cold End were established for the specific purpose of achieving this target.

Based on the strength of our new products and improved organizational flexibility, we are looking forward to 2007. It will be a year where customer focus will continue to enjoy first priority. We are confident that this will stimulate sustainable further positive development of Emhart Glass.

As expressed in our mission statement, we want to support our customers through the delivery of excellent machines, but also through automation solutions. This requires and includes new approaches towards a more efficient, more stable, and more consistent glass forming process. Our commitment to this is borne out by our investment in a new Glass Research Center in the US, which will go “under glass” in 2007. With our own 40 tpd furnace and glass forming production line, we will be in a position to generate new momentum and impulses for a deeper understanding of the glass forming process. All for the benefit of our customers.
