Supplier’s commitment to energy efficiency and sustainability commands encore performances worldwide Just 10 days after what is sure to be a legendary performance at GlassBuild, Edgetech I.

G. will take its show on the road to Glasstec 2008 in Germany where energy efficiency and sustainability will be the main focus.

According to Peter Hinsen, Edgetech’s European Sales Director, “It’s Edgetech’s fourth consecutive appearance at Glasstec and we’re back with even more exciting developments in the arenas of manufacturing productivity and energy efficiency. Our stand will be interactive so visitors can explore for themselves the features and benefits that make Super Spacer® and Super Spacer TrisealTM among the leading warm edge spacer systems in the world.”

At this year’s Glasstec, Edgetech will feature onsite demonstrations of manual Super Spacer application, while leading equipment manufacturers throughout the show will display fully-automated options. Edgetech will also share recent test results from independent studies, including reports from the BF (German Federal Flat Glass Association) and the internationally acclaimed Rosenheim Institute.

“Edgetech has championed energy efficiency worldwide through Super Spacer for more than 20 years,” said Larry Johnson, executive vice president, Edgetech I.G. “Today, Super Spacer continues to be the benchmark spacer system for meeting and exceeding increasingly stringent energy codes worldwide, which demand a dual seal, warm edge spacer system.”

Edgetech’s Super Spacer TriSeal will be a main attraction at the booth. TriSeal has gained popularity for achieving optimal thermal performance and production efficiencies worldwide. Currently there are nearly 100 fully-automated Super Spacer and Super Spacer TriSeal lines installed globally, and growing.

Engineered for light to heavy residential and commercial applications, TriSeal is a true dual seal warm edge spacer system with a butyl (PIB) primary seal and a choice of silicone, polyurethane, polysulfide, DSE/DSA or hot melt secondary seal. TriSeal is unique in that it also contains a third structural seal made of permanent acrylic adhesive that will add increased durability for a longer product life and a warmer edge of glass.
