Dubai Investments eyes growth in Kazakhstan, region

DI, nine subsidiaries showcase industry expertise at KazBuild 2013 exhibition   Dubai Investments PJSC [DI], the largest investment company listed on the Dubai Financial Market [DFM], is targeting growth in Kazakhstan and neighbouring countries.

This is being reinforced through its aggressive participation in KazBuild 2013, the leading construction trade exhibition which commenced today in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

At the exhibition, DI is showcasing the leading-edge capabilities and expertise of the company and its nine subsidiaries including Emirates Glass, Lumiglass Industries, Emirates Float Glass, Emirates Building Systems, Dubai Cranes & Technical Services, Emirates Extrusion Factory, Gulf Dynamic Switchgear, International Rubber Company and Techno Rubber Company.

The four-day exhibition, which runs till September 6 at the Atakent Exhibition Center in Almaty, has brought together nearly 300 exhibitors from across the globe, representing various construction and related sectors such as interiors, building materials, windows, doors, glass, ceramics and stone, among others.

Dubai Investments and its subsidiaries are part of the UAE Pavilion led by Dubai Exports, an initiative aimed at enabling UAE-based businesses to strengthen their export capabilities by leveraging the on-going economic diversification and strategies for development across both UAE as well as Kazakhstan.

Dubai Investments and Emirates Glass host international industry experts - Dubai Investments PJSC [DI], the leading investment company listed on Dubai Financial Market, and its glass subsidiary Emirates Glass LLC – one of the largest processors of flat architectural glass in the region, jointly hosted the International Architectural Glass Conference, held under the aegis of Glass and Glazing Federation [GGF] MENA last week.    The one-day conference, held at Dubai Investments headquarters in Dubai Investments Park, focused on different aspects on glass industry, presented by specialists and experts from leading international glass companies and related industries.  The international panel of speakers included Emirates Glass National and International Sales Manager Phil Higgins, who shed light on glass fracture through the presence of Nickel Sulfide, while Benoit Georges, Technical Manager of Saint-Gobain Middle East FZE, spoke on building energy efficiency.  John Reeves of The Glasshouse LLC spoke on safe and secure glazing, while Andy Dean of WSP Group highlighted fire-resistant glazing and Steve Lipscombe of GGF underlined the acoustic performance. Rizwanulla Khan, Executive President of Emirates Glass, said: “Emirates Glass LLC is committed to offering the industry’s best practices across its product range, and is steadfast on maintaining the best efficiency in its manufacturing, design and performance processes.
