Dubai glass firm profit soars 106%

Dubai: Emirates Glass, one of the leading processors of architectural flat glass in the Middle East, has reported a 106 per cent increase in its net profit for 2007 compared to the previous year, as well as a total of 30 per cent increase in overall productivity.





"We are proud of our fiscal results for 2007. We expect to do even better in the current year. These positive results indicate our firm commitment towards increasing the company's production capacity, which was achieved by adding a new coating line to tripled our current coating capacity, as well as increasing our client base on both the regional and international level," said Ziad Yazbeck, general manager, Emirates Glass.



Currently over 30 per cent of the company's production is exported to various countries such as India and Iran.
