Tradelink Window Solutions has opened a dedicated facility to double its aluminium manufacturing capacity and deliver aluminium glazing products to local installers even faster.

The new factory means that Tradelink can offer aluminium bi-folds in four colour-ways on lead times of just 10 days.

Jim Moody, Managing Director at Tradelink explains: “We have expanded our facility in March and taken on another unit next-door to create the new dedicated aluminium site which now covers 18,000 sq. ft. We knew that we needed to invest in more space to make sure that we could maintain our fast and efficient service to installers.”

The dedicated aluminium facility, as with Tradelink’s four other fabricating sites, uses lean manufacturing processes and a thorough checking process to ensure that all aluminium glazing leaves the factory, spot-on, ready for installers to fit on site.

Jim adds: “At the factory, everything is checked thoroughly. Every single length of profile is inspected and so is every piece of hardware that will be used during fabrication. After this initial check, the full component kit is delivered to a fabricator’s work station, ready for them to manufacture that product, to save time and enable a faster process. A final check happens before the product is wrapped ready for collection or delivery.

“Everyone in our aluminium factory is highly experienced and knows exactly how important their role is to the manufacturing process – and that’s how we make sure that our products are delivered fast and delivered spot-on.”

As well as domestic aluminium products, Tradelink offers a full choice of commercial aluminium low-rise curtain walling, ground floor treatments and aluminium windows.
