Costs of building materials continue to fall

Construction materials costs continued to decline last month, according to a report by the U.S. Labor Department. Materials prices fell 0.3 percent in January, the fourth consecutive month that prices have declined.

However, prices were still 1.8 percent higher than in January 2008.
