This year’s Glasstec marks a ‘coming of age’ for CGI International. The specialist glass manufacturer will be exhibiting at the Show for the first time in its own right with an impressive 55m2 stand.

In addition to presenting its latest fire resistant glazing solutions, CGI will be unveiling its new integrated corporate image to the international glass trade.

“Previously we’ve focused on products but this year we want to tell the world about all the exciting developments across each area of our business, from product innovations such as Fireswiss Foam to new customer support initiatives like our user-friendly website and brochures,” says Phill Millward, Sales & Marketing Director.

Fireswiss Foam is the most recent addition to CGI’s range and utilises a pioneering production process for achieving superior quality and larger sheet sizes. The fully insulated glass is designed for applications where insulation from both heat transfer and fire spread are required, such as in escape corridors and fire lobbies in multi-occupancy dwellings and public buildings.

Furthermore, CGI has recently relaunched its website, so specifiers and contractors can now log on to www.cgii.co.uk for a one-stop source of information. Useful new features include a helpful guide to choosing the right fire glass and rating, a regularly updated section on current Fire Safety Standards and down-loadable data sheets. The website is supported by a new Corporate brochure detailing CGI’s range of fire products, which will be available on the Stand.

CGI sees Glasstec as a unique opportunity to consolidate its position within existing export markets and identify potential customers, particularly from the new EU member countries. Visitors to the Stand are invited to meet the company’s experienced team in a relaxed and informal atmosphere, continues Phill Millward: “Fire resistant glazing and increasingly stringent regulations can be very complex and confusing. We’ve got a wealth of expertise in this field and Glasstec gives us the chance to discuss these important issues with people from around the world and simplify the specification process for them.”
