Therefore the company BDF is the oldest IS-machine manufacturer in Europe.
2 years ago the group of BDF companies was restructured under a new BDF holding.
The daughter companies related to the glass industry are BDF (Vicenza), Glass Technologies (Piacenza), TDE-MACNO (Vicenza) and MCR (Genova). Besides these companies all other enterprises like tool machine trading, hotel and further trading companies are separately organised under the roof of the BDF INDUSTRIES.
BDF is still the manufacturing company for IS machines and all relevant hot end equipments. Part of these equipments are the successful servo feeder mechanisms and servo parallel shear mechanisms, IS machines from single section to 12 sections and tandem solutions 6+6, 8+8 and now also 10+10, whereby all IS machines are offered in the standard centre distances for double gob 4 ¼“, 5”, 5 ½” and 6 ¼”. For triple gob BDF offers a large range from TG 3“, TG 3 1/8“, TG 3 28/32“ to TG 6 ¼“.
All machines are tailor-made solutions following the special requirements of the individual glass plants whereby all possible versions of servo proportional valves are available for plunger “Up”, counter-blow and blow mould “Open”.
BDF is the IS manufacturer with the longest experience of application of servo invert and servo take-out mechanisms.
Since 5 years BDF supplies also sucessfully its own cross conveyors with and without water cooling and lehr loaders with 2 servo axis. All large glass groups are BDF clients world-wide.
1992 Glass Technologies was found by former engineers of 2 well known glass groups. Glass Technologies designs and erects glass meting furnaces up to 450 Tpd as end-fired-furnaces with its own burner and electro boosting technology and forehearths up to 180 Tpd with its own technology regarding heating, cooling and crown construction. Glass Technologies offers the complete service for glass melting furnaces from the design, over engineering, to the start-up of complete installations or also single components.
The 2 further daughter companies TDE-MACNO and MCR supply the necessary electronic controls for glass production machines and equipments, whereby MCR also offers complete process controls for production lines or whole glass plants. Furthermore TDE-MACNO is the second largest supplier of servo drives in Italy.
The enterprise BDF INDUSTRIES can supply all kind of glass production equipments from single machine to turn-key projects. As a support for turn-key projects a consulting Group was found in BDF, to develop and realise such turn-key plants.
Due to world-wide installed IS-machines BDF and Glass Technologies have developed the service facilities in Russia, South-America, Europe and Asia. In Moscow (Russia), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Cebu (Philipines) and Hum na Sutli (Croatia) service teams comprehending mechanical and electical technicians as well as production support people are available to support the clients during installation, start-up and maintenace works.
Furthermore 2 warehouses for spare parts for IS machines were set up in 2005 in Bangkok and 2006 near Moscow. These stocks comprehend international standard spare parts and allow a short time supply in East-Europe and Far-East.

BDF will show several equipments for IS-machines. Additionally a new generation of high-speed-pusher system with double servo motor drive will be presented which surely can improve the ware handling of TG IS-machines and tandem solutions. BDF together with TDE-MACNO present an up-grade type MTB 2006 for its well known timing system BDF-TDE-128T. The BDF consulting group is present with details and lay-outs if turn-key projects.
The high light of Glass Technologies and MCR will be a recently patented glass level control. Furthermore several projects will be displayed on video and posters.
