Asia Optical will double its monthly capacity of glass molding press (GMP) aspherical lenses to five million units in the first quarter, as it has become a supplier for a major handset vendor, according to the Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN).

The segment is expected to be the company's major revenue driver this year, the paper added.
