CE Marking

The first of September is the mandatory date for CE marking for glass products for building (float glass, patterned glass, coated glass, thermally tempered, and heat-strengthened glass). What is your opinion? What changes will be brought about in reference to the introduction of CE marking? Your comments regarding this theme are welcome.

I have read the EN-documents that we have to follow to be able to recieve the CE mark for our imported products.

The quality of the documents are LOW and there are no good connections between them.

As a rather small business there is also this anoying price of buying 15-20 standards and updates!

A delay of the date would be in order!

Hi to all GOW's users!

In order to have the proccess under control and finally the end product, the company must invest in the IT systems and also in the internal organisation. For mid and big-size companies, this is not a problem, because they experiencing with ISO 9000, etc. But the question is: which will be the impact for the small companies, particularly for companies that are situated in countries that are new in the EC?

Dear Lauren,

CE is mandatory only for glass used in building, from the first group. In march will be mandatory CE on insulating glass.
