Vitro Focuses on Duovent, its Double Glazing Product Brand

Vitro recently launched a consistent advertising campaign to promote nationwide its double glazing product called Duovent in order to reinforce its sales efforts.

Duovent, a Vitro brand, consists of two glass panes separated by an hermetically sealed air chamber to be used in homes, buildings and commercial sites.

This significant effort is in line with Vitro's business strategy of positioning and promoting its value added products, as well as the Vitro brand among its personnel, customers, distributors, glass installers and construction professionals.

The innovative Duovent system is a procedure to isolate heat and noise, more often used in windows and homes, commercial sites and constructions building sites. This double glazing system is being been used significantly in the US, and Europe because it's important energy saving attribute, which is extremely valued during this season.

At the same time, Vitro initiated this week the first phase of an extensive advertising campaign in radio and magazines to support the Duovent relaunching campaign, which will conclude in September of 2003.

In line with this strategy, Vitro will start operating in June of 2003 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, a new manufacturing line which is intended to serve our northern customers needs. Currently Vitro provides Duovent to all of its customers from our Mexico City production facilities.

Duovent is being manufactured by the Added Value Area of Vitro's flat glass business unit, which is dedicated to serve the construction and automotive industry sectors. In 2002 Flat Glass reported annual of sales close to US$1.1 billion, 47 percent of Vitro's consolidated sales last year.

Duovent units are energy-saving and acoustic comfort systems registered by Vitro that consist of two glass panes separated by a hermetically sealed air chamber.
