TORONTO, Ontario, March 3, 2010 — Building upon two decades of service to glaziers, architects, specifiers and other commercial construction industry professionals in Canada, Technical Glass Products (TGP) has moved into a new state-of-the-art fabrication facility in Toronto.

The facility is designed to provide Canadian customers with even faster and easier access to quality fire-rated glass and framing and other specialty architectural glazing solutions. www.fireglass.com, www.tgpamerica.com

TGP will fabricate and label at the new locale the FireLite® family of fire-rated glazing products – an innovative ceramic glazing that blocks fire and smoke and can meet impact safety requirements; Neoceram™ heat resistant glass for high efficiency heating appliances; and X-Ray shielding glass.

In addition, TGP offers a full-range of fire-rated glazing and specialized architectural products in Canada, including Pilkington Pyrostop® glass, which is both fire- and impact-resistant and blocks heat transfer; Fireframes® fire-rated framing; the Pilkington Profilit™ translucent linear channel glass system; SteelBuilt Curtainwall® Systems, which allow for larger areas of glass, smaller frame profiles and wider free-spans than is possible with traditional aluminum curtainwall assemblies; and Neopariésâ and Neopariésâ LT crystallized glass ceramic architectural panels.

“Canada is an important market for us, and as construction begins to rebound across the country, having additional fabrication capacity will be critical,” says Ron Pitts, Canadian Sales Manager for TGP. “We look forward to continuing the tradition of providing the Canadian market with expert customer service and high quality, innovative fire-rated glazing and specialty architectural products.”
