Solar BIPV Glass Company Accelerates Development

XsunX has launched Phase III of its Power Glass development program. The company's solar technology that allows glass windows to produce electricity from the power of the sun through embedded photovoltaics.

The company is expanding its research and development capabilities by adding new process development equipment and technical expertise in key research areas of thin-films and laser process development. Their plan is to now use this next phase of development to finalize a licensable process by combining the on-going results of their development efforts into the manufacturing process line. The company believes that a reel-to-reel manufacturing technique that it licensed last year may lower manufacturing costs for the production of flexible solar cell structures on rolls of thin-film plastics. The Company plans to use this next phase of product development to integrate the reel-to-reel manufacturing technique into the Power Glass process.
