Rohmer + Stimpfig: Exhibition Report Glasstec 2002

Date: 29 November 2002

With a generously-dimensioned booth and the latest generation of CNC edge processing and cutting machines, Rohmer + Stimpfig again has set accents for the flat glass-processing industry on glasstec exhibition of this year 2002.

Also this time, the many experts visiting the exhibition could be convinced by the high performance of the medium-sized company from Fürth/Bavaria/Germany and the consequent application of the company philosophy.

The visitors of the most openly and attractively designed booth in hall 15 have commented very positively on the shown and demonstrated machinery altogether and they praised the big number of innovative novelties and developments. The following points have been especially emphasised by the visitors:

-the speed, the dynamic and the precision of cutting glass shapes on the new RS 7.55; original statements among others: "...the fastest and most effective machine on this exhibition..."

-the enormous feeding speed of 15-20 m/min when grinding at which the edge of a 4 mm thick glass with different inner radii has been demonstrated live – without any tricks and manipulations - and using grinding wheels of 150 and 60 mm – mounted on just one spindle, with the application of the new, revolutionary Multi-Channel-Cooling; original statements among others: "...finally a Rohmer + Stimpfig quality also for smaller series and budgets...", "...nobody else will manage this so soon...", "...the Multi-Channel-Cooling will become an epoch-making success...", etc.

-the versatility and speed of the new generation of calotte cutting machines down to 200 mm bending radius now

-"... here is shown quality instead of only quantity like at some others..."

According to the organisers, 70 % of the visitors were decision-making top-managers. This has also been reflected in the numerous discussions and negotiations on the Rohmer + Stimpfig booth. In view of this, glasstec and the engagement of R + S can be interpreted well as a signal for a return from the general negative mood (according to the trade press before the exhibition).

With their presentation in Düsseldorf and the machines shown, Rohmer + Stimpfig have again proven their special position in the market. Once again the visitor could get his own idea of the efficiency, productivity, know-how, customer orientation, the excellent service and teamwork in the company and the flexibility .... and nearly everybody has left the booth with joy and hope regarding a successful common future.
