Rest and Relaxation at Fuorisalone 2008

Date: 14 April 2008

As part of the Green Energy Design event at this year's Fuorisalone 2008 in Milan, Interni magazine will create special 'R&R areas', where design professionals can meet and relax between events.

AGC Flat Glass Italia will participate to one of these areas by contributing its products and know-how to Marco Piva's 'Re_Glax Your Mind', the ultimate place for rest and relaxation.

The concept is a response to the constant onslaught of commitments and responsibilities in today's world. The result is a build-up of tension that has a negative impact on our physical and emotional wellbeing. In other words, stress management is crucial if we are to improve our lifestyles. Architecture and design - both of which delimit and create the spaces in which we live - are key components here. Marco Piva's R&R area has just one goal: to help harried inhabitants of today's high-pressure, nonstop world to relax.

Marco Piva has created individual R&R areas in the open gallery at the University of Milan, harnessing the experience of Reflex (a renowned Italian company) and the infinite potential of Planibel Linea Azzurra float glass.

Re_Glax Your Mind' will feature some of AGC's best known products, including the innovative Glassiled (with built-in LEDs) and the new Mirox 3G ecological mirror.

Combine glass and relax and you get 're_glax', a play on words to help us liberate our bodies and minds through the lightness and transparency of glass.
