Publicity and Training on Capacity Building and Energy Conservation & Emission Reduction of Glass Production in Guangdong in Full Swing

In a recent notice jointly issued by the Economic & Information Commission of Guangdong Province and the Financial Department of Guangdong Province, Guangdong Glass Association is required to set up a special fund program for energy conservation of 2012, which marks that the publicity and training program on capacity building and energy conservation & emission reduction of glass production by Guangdong Glass Association is carried out in full swing.With the rapid development of China's economy, Guangdong has rapidly grown into an important province in the production, processing and export of plate glass as well as glass products.

It is a pillar province in China’s glass industry. However, energy consumption in the production and processing of glass is huge. As one of the major energy-hungry industries, glass industry causes concerns in both the government and the society. To earnestly promote the energy conservation and emissions reduction work of glass industry in Guangdong, Guangdong Glass Association decided to hold training courses and publicity activities according to the government's unified plan.

The following contents are covered:

-To strive to popularize energy conservation knowledge, so as to provide a favorable condition.

-To strengthen industry self-discipline and mutual supervision on backward production facilities.

-To organize experts of the association to remove and investigate backward facilities meticulously and render technical guidance.

-To organize retired personnel and energy-conservation experts to give training courses.

-To vigorously popularize energy-saving technology and equipments.

-To actively publicize and implement national industrial policies.
