Pilkington to Build New Car-window Plant in Poland

The plant is expected to turn out 1.7 million windscreens a year and between four and five million side and rear windows.

Glass industry giant Pilkington is to build a new car-window plant in Poland for an estimated 450 million zloty (US$155 million), its Polish arm said on March 11. Anna Osowska, spokeswoman of Pilkington Automotive Poland, said that work on the plant in the small southeastern community of Chmielow would begin this year.
