Participation to Glasstec 2012 - Adelio Lattuada Srl

Date: 12 November 2012

We are glad to say that our positive expectations related to the Glasstec 2012 trend have been realized: this edition has been for us one of the best of the last years.

We can consider ourselves extremely satisfied by all the four exhibition days, during which a huge number of visitors came to our stand, not only as mere numbers but especially for the quality and the interest shown towards our machines. Interest that has then brought to serious dealings, some of which successfully concluded already during the exhibition, and to many new contacts.

We have registered a high participation of countries like Germany, United Kingdom, France, South America, Canada and USA.

To the USA will be delivered the 13-wheels edging machine we have displayed in our booth, and precisely to DGI - DENVER GLASS INTERIORS group: one of the most important realities of the United States.

This machine is equipped with interesting options like a washing machine fitted on the outlet conveyor, front regulation of the rear arris spindles, clock for the regulation of the front diamond arris spindle, brakes on the polishing arris spindles pistons, ultrasonic glass presence sensor and panel for the management of statistics, maintenance activities and machine alarms. This special model differed from the others also for having a device for the processing of parallelograms in inclined position fitted on it.

This is an idea already developed in 2005, following the specific request of some costumers who needed to handle big productions of this type of format, and that later has been improved till making it one of our most requested option, especially in the last years.

Often the glaziers have to process inclined glass sheets and this operation requires two persons, who being obliged to hold the glass with the hands not to make it fall, work under unsafe conditions, without considering the important waste of time. With the device we have created instead, thanks to glass support and pulling blocks duly fitted on a chain, which turns around the whole length of the machine’s rack, the glass is hold in the correct position without any intervention of the operator, who can also work this way alone and in total safety. Thanks to the application of a pneumatic clutch it is also possible to switch on/off the rotation of the upper pulling chain. On request it’s then also possible to add ‘options to the option’, as for instance the application of more chains at different heights, in case of need to process glass sheets with very different sizes.

Another reason of pride has been for us the interest shown for our double-edger model BETA 10. We have displayed a model with 10 wheels on each side and a maximum opening of 3.000 mm, for the processing of the flat edge with arris. It was equipped with: touch-screen operator panel, adjustable control panels at the glass entrance side allowing the processing management by standing still in the glass loading area, no need of power zero at start-up: the machine is always and immediately operative. All these features result in time saving and in a higher operator safety. The strong points we would like to underline are its simple use and its high flexibility.

An example of this is the use of the same ‘Lattuada’ spindles we also fit on our edging machines: guarantee of toughness, reliability and saving on maintenance and spare parts.

As all others machines in our booth the double-edger has worked no-stop during the four exhibition days, attracting this way a large number of visitors thanks to its peculiar features, described above, which make this machine different with regards to the other models proposed by the market.
