No New EU Duties For China Solar Glass Industry

Solar glass producers in China will not immediately face another round of EU duties, the bloc's executive said Monday, as part of its latest probe into whether the Chinese government has been unfairly subsidizing its companies.

China is the world's largest producer of solar panels and related products.The EU has launched four investigations into Chinese exports of those goods.

The solar glass market in the EU is worth around EUR170 million annually, while Chinese exports of solar panels and key components to the EU are worth around EUR20 billion, according to the European Commission.
