New Website show Advantages of Glass Packaging

Date: 29 November 2011

Glass packaging specialist Beatson Clark has launched its new website illustrating the advantageous health and environmental properties of the packaging material.

In a recent European Packaging Survey by TNS, it is claimed that an overwhelming majority of European consumers (84%) have a strong preference for certain consumer products in glass packaging.

Charlotte Taylor, Marketing Manager for Beatson Clark, commented: “Consumer demand for products packaged in glass is growing. With glass being 100% infinitely recyclable and totally inert, it is a healthy and sustainable product that helps to minimise the effect of packaging on the environment.

“We wanted our new website to illustrate these advantages so consumers and brand owners are more aware of just how remarkable glass is as a packaging form.”

The website also shows Beatson Clark’s extensive services offered, from container concept design through to manufacture and decorative options.

Charlotte continued: “Beatson Clark has secured a great reputation over the years for high levels of customer service and we have always enjoyed excellent relationships with clients in order to deliver their exact requirements. The new website will ensure that our customer service is kept to the highest standard, and that our customers are clearly informed about the packaging product they choose.”

The customer section, with 24-hour product information, is updated daily and offers an order and sample request feature. The section also offers a lot of useful account information including key contact details, a project tracker to follow the progress of new projects, stock figures and drawing specifications of all Beatson Clark’s glass products.** The product search facility has also been improved and now includes a ‘product favourites’ option, allowing customers to compare several products at once. It offers customers a more user friendly catalogue of Beatson Clark’s extensive general sale range.

“As websites are now often a first introduction to a company we felt it imperative to depict Beatson Clark’s experience within the glass packaging industry plus the company’s own ethos and capabilities. We hope our customers will enjoy the experience of browsing the site, from the imagery used to the information provided,” added Charlotte.
