From January 2011, Dipl.-Wirt-Ing. Winfried Semling – an industry professional – is taking over the leadership at ECKELT GLAS.

Since 1998 he has been operating within the SAINT-GOBAIN Group. From 1998 to 2000 Mr. Semling was the operations manager at the SGGS site in Hinwill, Switzerland, where he became CEO in 2000. In 2005 he moved to Paris and followed the function as technical director of the SAINT-GOBAIN GLASS SOLUTIONS.

The European market leader of insulating glass and glass-based solutions SAINT-GOBAIN GLASS SOLUTIONS has got a new identity from 1st January 2011. In a time of reorganization, GLASSOLUTIONS is the new brand for approximately 240 companies Europe-wide. GLASSOLUTIONS combines innovation, know-how and experience to offer complete solutions to our customers. For over 20 years ECKELT has been a part of the GLASSOLUTIONS and a leader in the flat glass processing industry in Austria.

With Winfried Semling the positive development of ECKELT GLAS in Steyr is secured in the long term.
