Laminated Technologies, Inc. Doubles Production Capacity With Addition of New Facility in Lenox, Massachusetts and Establishes New Division ö LTI Smart Glass

Laminated Technologies, Inc. of Melbourne Florida today announced expansion into an additional 30,000 square foot facility in Lenox Massachusetts and the formation of a new business division - LTI Smart Glass.

The new LTI Smart Glass division and the plant in Lenox are in response to the rapidly growing demand for Laminated Technologies products by key customers and to support the company aggressive growth plans.The new division, LTI Smart Glass, Inc., was established to draw upon the company expertise in the manufacturing of electrified laminations and was formed to serve various industries with Smart Glass products.Laminated Technologies is an authorized licensee of Research Frontiers Incorporated and provides high-end lamination services to many of Research Frontiers licensees in the automotive, architectural, aerospace and marine industries.

Research Frontiers holds over 350 patents and patent applications worldwide on SPD-Smart light-control technology, a special thin film that allows the user to instantly control the amount of light, glare and heat coming through glass and plastic products such as windows and skylights.

LTI also offers liquid crystal glass and polycarbonate lamination, which offers on-demand benefits of privacy, image display, and other features.

The Lenox facility features an 8,000 square foot clean room, which is earmarked for the company fabrication of its high-tech high quality glass and polycarbonate laminations.

The facility, which previously served a high-end paper equipment manufacturer, has specialized value-added equipment throughout the facility, including heavy-rated material handling equipment ideally positioned to efficiently support the movement of product throughout the facility.

To support its expansion, the company plans to double its workforce over the coming year and at the same time will significantly expand its cutting-edge equipment portfolio. The expansion also provides the company with an added presence to service its significant customer base in the Northeast.
