Intermac S.p.A. presented important innovations at the 2001 edition of Vitrum. A strong point of the Intermac strategy is its wide-reaching and constant focus on research into new products; it has in fact developed important innovations for the world market: the JET and PRO series CNC working centres.

JET series: the ideal solution for the modern glassworker looking for a machine that has limited working dimensions, low production costs and provides a high standard of quality.
Performance at the top of the category: In spite of the fact that it is a medium range machine, JET’s characteristics place it in a decidedly higher category. Take the generous dimensions of the work table (3000x1500 mm), allowing machining of large pieces or of several smaller pieces with only one tooling operation; or the versatility of the tool magazine with 22 different profiles, managed automatically without intervention by the operator, which can be increased to up to 31 positions.
New technology of digital motors and high speed axis movement guarantee high performance in absolute safety for the operator, thanks to the innovative active safety system based on the use of soft bumpers.
The structure of the JET series is designed to guarantee the operator maximum accessibility to all work areas with the minimum amount of operating space necessary, since the machine can be placed with its back near a wall. This is made possible by concentrating the operating area in the front part, allowing use of the whole width of the work table.
Simple to use: the JET series has self-learning software capable of automatically generating the work program by a simple laser reading of the sample piece.
Modularity: a JET series model is available with a 4th angular C axis with various cutting and grinding aggregates for maximum machining variety, including engraving, and straight-line and shaped cutting.

PRO series: is the synthesis of technological innovation in the high performance work station category.
Large work table (4100x2100 mm) allows simultaneous work on several pieces of different sizes. New “full digital” axis management technology gives greater reliability of the components, higher speed and acceleration in machining together with a more rapid check for irregularities and simpler maintenance.
Double tool magazine managing a total of 28 different profiles, the PRO series allows multiple tooling without stopping the machine, completely automatic management of complex machining operations without the intervention of the operator. The fourth angular “C” axis, available separately, can perform straight-line cuts, curved cuts with a convex blade, straight-line and shaped engraving.
The positioning the stops and the suction cups is managed by the numerical control, and the powerful new 12 Kw electrospindle with vectored digital control technology allows speeds from 0 to 15000 RPM, guaranteeing maximum power even at lower RPM
Reliability, sturdiness and high innovation content are the common denominator of the JET and PRO series, available with rich standard equipment, which can be completely retro-fitted at a later date by adding the rotating C axis (JET C, PRO C) for curved, straight-line, and shaped inclined cutting. The C axis can be supplied separately for an investment targeted at the requirements of the moment, without giving up the possibility of further increasing performance in terms of speed and work quality.
