Intermac, manufacturer of machinery for  glass and stone fabrication, has signed an agreement with a new Canadian dealer.  Effective immediately, Derusha Supply Inc. will represent Intermac products in the Quebec and Maritime provinces.

Headquartered in Stanstead, Quebec, a major area for stone fabrication, Derusha  Supply has specialized in products, tools and equipment for the stone industry for 30  years. Under the terms of the agreement, Derusha Supply will take on the complete line  of Intermac equipment, including the new Master 33-43 Twin CNC machining center.  Introduced to the North American market at StonExpo in October, the Twin is receiving a

lot of positive industry buzz.

Parent company Biesse S.p.A., headquartered in Pesaro, Italy, is making substantial  investments in Canadian subsidiaries Biesse Canada and Intermac Canada. In addition  to actively working to strengthen its Canadian dealer network—Canadian corporation  J.R. Normand Inc. signed on as a distributor this past summer—the company is also  bolstering its manpower in Canada to keep up with increasing demand. A new office,  where both Biesse Canada and Intermac Canada will operate, is scheduled to open in  Toronto at the end of the year.
