At least six of the eleven competitors will be using GlasWeld windshield repair equipment and resins during the international competition.
The 2010 world champion Randy Olson of Chip Medic in Bend, Oregon will defend his title among competitors from across the United States and internationally. There will be five competitors from GlasWeld Spain who competed in the Spanish version of the Windshield Repair Olympics held in Madrid in July. First place winner Braulio López, who participated in the 2009 Windshield Repair Olympics in Las Vegas will compete for GlasWeld Spain as well as four of his compatriots. López has completed 15,000 repairs over the last thirteen years and will be leading the Spanish contingent. Olson was the Gold medal winner at the 2010 Walt Gorman Windshield Repair Olympics. He is a retired firefighter and has been in the windshield repair business for six years. The 2010 event was his first and only windshield repair competition.
