Glassman Europe was thrilled by the support of the glass industry to this biennial event. As well as representatives from every single glass plant in France, the exhibition welcomed visitors from across Europe, the Middle East, Australasia, North and South America.Exhibitors included some of the leading global suppliers in sectors such as melting furnaces, combustion equipment, quality control, processing equipment, inspection systems and forming machinery.In addition, visitors enjoyed two days of free specialist conference sessions run by Institut du Verre, France’s leading glass association. Focusing on two themes – energy and environment and modelling concepts – the conference featured high profile speakers such as Guy Tackels, Environmental Affairs Director at Saint-Gobain Conceptions Verrieres and Michael Greenman of the Glass Manufacturing Industry Council (GMIC).Glassman Europe organiser (dmg world media) was also pleased to host the International Commission on Glass (ICG) technical meetings, as well as the European Container Glass Federation (FEVE) assembly, which brought some of the leading thinkers and figures in the glass industry to the exhibition.Full details of the exhibitors and conference sessions can be found online at www.glassmaneurope.com.A full review of the event will also be published in the June 2009 issue of Glass International – the leading monthly magazine for the primary glass industry.
Glassman will also be travelling to Dubai in November 2009, and Sao Paulo in March 2010.
