Darmstadt, November 24th 2009 – ISRA VISION AG (ISIN DE 0005488100), one of the world’s top five suppliers in the field of industrial image processing (Machine Vision) and the world market leader or surface inspection systems, has achieved 41st place in the ranking “Future World Champions 2009”(2008: position 68).

This means ISRA is also the fastest-growing German company in the field of industrial image processing. In comparison with the previous year, ISRA has improved its position by 27 places in the analysis which is prepared exclusively for the publication “Handelsblatt” by Professor Bernd Venohr.

Venohr, who is an economics professor from Berlin, selects the most innovative companies from a list of 550 firms, on the basis of their growth strength. To meet his criteria, each company must either be among the top 3 worldwide in its area, or one of Europe’s leaders. Its turnover during fiscal 2007 must have been below 50 Million Euros, and up to 2009 it must have averaged an annual growth of at least 7.5 percent.

The Future World Champions are champions in their own niche. If a medium-sized company wishes to reach the top worldwide, and wants to stay there, it is essential to concentrate on a small market segment and to keep working at it on a worldwide scale. As well as this focus on niche markets, innovations are a key factor in attaining success“, says Venohr when describing the recipe for success adopted by the fastest-growing medium-sized companies in Germany.
